“We Wuv Smoochie”?

27 Jun

Now that we’ve named the bug Smoochie, apparently it means will become attached to it….

How much do you “wuv” Smoochie? Or do you hope Smoochie dies?

Tell me your thoughts!

Bugs, and other random topics.

As we all know, YWS is having a bug problem! I officially named the bug Smoochie, as in Death to Smoochie. It likes to fade in and out, who knows? It might just take over the whole site!

But, its a lot easier than when we had the PEM. PEM stands for Post Eating Monster. It attacked the site a wee bit when we had server problems/changes. It was terrifyingly evil. If the PEM ever returns, feel free to cry.

This is the end of the brief ramble on things. Thank you.

(post people! It died…)

Wireless Electricity

Really cool! Every day I wonder when I will finally be able to get rid of my snaking mess of power cords in my room. I didn’t know if it were possible, but these scientists seen to have shown the way forward. Can’t wait for the day when everything is completely wireless in a house.

Why Living in the Middle of Nowhere isn’t Good for Internet Junkies.

2 Jun

Yes. So I’ve finally admitted it, I am an internet junkie. (Anyone else?)

There is a down side to the addiction. We changed internet service providers at my mothers (AKA middle of nowhere.) from dial up, to high speed internet. Being that my mother is internet stupid, and I have almost no ability with computers beyond some general stuff, HTML, and some more general stuff, I didn’t know what to do. I sat on hold with the company for two, if not more I’m sure, hours. Blah blah, we did this, we did that. I blame the internet company. Who has phone tech. support that leaves you on hold for two hours? At least I read a little while waiting.

But, amongst the mess of not having internet I learned one thing: without internet I turn into an even lazier teenager. Amazing. With internet, I’m actually [pretending to] do/doing something and will eventually meet my goals of what ever goals I had. Without internet I watch bad shows on TV and have no goals.

So I have to decide: Which is worse, being completely goalless, or wasting my time on the internet? I’m not sure yet.

Art

I saw this on someone’s signature, although I don’t recall who’s, and it made me laugh out loud– “Just because no one understands you does not make you an artist.”  I think I seriously laughed for ten minutes.

I was just wondering how many writers on the site also dabble in something artsy?  I find that often times Art and Writing go together.  Do you do characatures?  Portraits?  Landscapes?  Charcoal, lead, wax?  Photography?  Ceramics?  Or do you even just doodle on the side of your school papers?
