Bad Cover Art: The Gathering Storm

I know there are a lot of Robert Jordan fans out there, but this cover is abhorrent. Of course, the guy could just be constipated.
Did his left arm get cut off, or did the artist just have too much trouble with hands to draw more than one on this guy? Not to mention his shoulder is severely dislocated.
It looks like the house from the wizard of Oz.

He looks like the cheesy prince guy with the 90s-Football-Player hair from Swan Princess. “Nooooo!”
Bobo stole the words from my mouth. The artist apparently cannot get proportions correct. I mean, look at the girl’s arms! They look like they belong on a toddler’s body!
I’m just still trying to figure out what that black spot on the wall is…
Gryphon, I’m not sure if you’ve read the rest of The Wheel of Time, but I think a fair guess would be that the blackness is something that was burned out of the wall by bale fire. Other than that I don’t know what it could be.
As for the cover itself, I’ve been trying to work out why it is that Rand has suddenly lost his thumb. He’s really started getting mutilated badly.
