What is YWS Reading

For the purposes of, uh, research? Fun? I went onto the chatbar one day and asked certain members what they were reading! Here are their thoughts and recommendations, in their own, exact and not always spectacularly eloquent words.

AdrianMoon: Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. It is a good read, I think. I haven’t read that much of it, but it really makes you think.

CaylleenTheElf: Their Eyes Were  Watching God. Well, honestly, I haven’t actually started it yet.

Birkhoff: I guess Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone: I’ve been hip deep in my studies next to my work these last months. I guess I’m reading the first Harry Potter book. But I’ve been at it for like a month now.

Buggiedude2340: Hmm… I just finished House of Many Ways, the sequel to Howl’s Moving Castle, and I’m starting a book called Clariel. I thought House of Many Ways was pretty cute, and I’ve always loved how Diana Wynne Jones manages to tie things together in such interesting ways.

Gravity: Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I love the first and second books. I’m rereading and hoping to get through the last book, I hear the ending is a killer.

Holofernes: … Herodotus’ stories. What is reading. All I know is school.

LadySpark: The Lover’s Dictionary! Each poem is centered around a word. And it’s organized like a dictionary, so like “longing: adjective” is the title and then it has a poem!

Lumi: Ready Player One. It’s fun and deep and insightful all at the same time without exuding much effort. It’s just a nice read that makes you think after each session.

Megsug: I’m reading several, but my favorite is probably The Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb (even though I keep getting distracted with other things. Because it’s the best example of fantasy I’ve read in a while, and the characters are ridiculously well developed and just all around awesome.

Wolfare: If I Stay. It’s really interesting, but it’s not really my type of story.
